1. Create a Barcode Field

Entry point: Tap the table header → Edit → Field Type → Barcode

  1. Tap the target table header in the data table.
  2. In the floating toolbar, tap Edit.
  3. In the field editing window, tap Field Type.
  4. Select Barcode.
  5. Set Only allow mobile barcode scanning input as needed:
    • If turned on, the field accepts content only through mobile barcode scanning.
    • If turned off, the field can accept other content.
  6. Enter the field name and tap OK to finish.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A new barcode field column appears in the table.
  • What you can do next: Open a record and continue entering barcode content in that field.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you do not start from header editing, you may not see the field type options.

2. Enter Barcode Data

Entry point: Tap the target cell → open the record details → select the barcode field

  1. Tap the target cell to open the record details.
  2. Tap the Barcode field.
  3. Choose the input method you need:
    • Type the barcode number manually to enter the value directly.
    • Scan barcode to use the phone camera for live capture.
    • Recognize from photo to take a picture and recognize the barcode.
    • Upload from phone to select a local barcode image and recognize the value from it.
  4. Check the recognized or entered result and save it.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The barcode field shows the saved barcode value.
  • What you can do next: Continue editing other fields or return to the table view.
