1. Create a Barcode Field

Entry path: Tap the header → Edit → Field Type → Barcode

  1. Tap the header you want to configure.
  2. In the floating toolbar, tap Edit.
  3. In the field editing window, tap Field Type.
  4. Select Barcode.
  5. Set Only allow mobile scanning input as needed. When enabled, the field only accepts mobile scan-based input. When disabled, the field can accept general content entry.
  6. Enter the field name.
  7. Tap Confirm to finish the setup.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: A new barcode field column appears in the table.
  • Next action available: You can continue entering barcode content in records under this field.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the header is not selected first, you cannot open field editing.
  • Environment note: If you plan to scan later, allow camera permission in advance.

2. Enter Barcode Data

Entry path: Tap the target cell → open record details → select the Barcode field

  1. Tap the target cell to open record details.
  2. Tap the Barcode field.
  3. Choose an input method.
  4. To enter manually, type the barcode number directly.
  5. To scan, use the phone camera to scan the barcode.
  6. To recognize from a photo, take a barcode photo and recognize the content.
  7. To upload from the phone, choose a local barcode image and recognize it for entry.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: The barcode field shows the entered barcode content.
  • Next action available: You can continue editing other fields or save the current record.
