1. Create a barcode field
Entry path: Click the + button on the right side of the header → open the field type list → select Barcode
- Click the + button on the right side of the table header.
- Select Barcode from the field type list.
- Enter the field name.
- Click OK to finish creating the field.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A new barcode field column appears in the table.
- What you can do next: You can enter barcode information in the field or open field settings.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you choose another field type instead of Barcode, the new column will not be a barcode field.
- Environment note: If you plan to use scan entry later, make sure the mobile device can scan normally.
2. Set the barcode field input method
Entry path: Right-click the field title → Field Settings → Input Method
- Right-click the title of the barcode field.
- Select Field Settings.
- In the Input Method area, select Only allow mobile scan entry.
- Save the setting and return to the table.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The mobile-scan-only option is enabled in field settings.
- What you can do next: Future input follows the selected entry method.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you open the settings for the wrong field, the change will not apply to the target field.
- Environment note: After this option is enabled, manual typing is no longer supported and input must come from mobile scanning.
