1. Create a Barcode Field

Entry: the + button on the right side of the header → Field Type drop-down list → Barcode

1. Click the + button on the right side of the header.
2. Select Barcode from the field type list.
3. Enter a field name.
4. Click OK to finish.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: a new barcode field column appears in the table.
• Next action available: you can enter barcode content in the column or open field settings.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: if you do not select Barcode in the field type list, a different field type will be created.
• Environment note: you need edit permission for the current Bitable.

2. Set the Barcode Field Input Method

Entry: right-click the field title → Field Settings → Input Method

1. Right-click the title of the barcode field.
2. Select Field Settings.
3. In the Input Method area, select Only allow mobile scan input.
4. Save the setting and return to the table.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: the selected input method is shown in field settings.
• Next action available: the field continues to accept barcode data according to the selected method.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: after you enable Only allow mobile scan input, manual entry is no longer available.
• Environment note: mobile scan input requires a mobile device for scanning.
