How-to Guide
1. Set Link Permission
Entry path: Advanced Permissions in the upper-right corner → Other Access Users section → Link Permission
- Click Advanced Permissions in the upper-right corner.
- Find the Other Access Users section near the bottom of the left navigation area.
- Click Link Permission to view the current setting on the right side.
- Open the permission dropdown and choose Can Edit or Can View.
- After the change is saved, future collaborators who join through the link will follow the selected default permission.
- If a collaborator already has an individually assigned role, that role remains in effect.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the selected link permission is shown on the right side.
- What you can do next: continue sharing the link or return to review the collaborator list for the current role.
- No side effect: individually assigned collaborator roles are not overwritten.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if collaboration is not enabled first, the link permission setting will not take effect as expected.
- Environment note: sign in to your account and stay connected to the internet.
