Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The configuration area for the current email node appears on the right.
  • Next step available: You can continue to add a sender mailbox and message settings.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you do not open the Email category first, the action may be hard to find.

2. Configure the sender mailbox

Entry point: Credentials tab → Sender mailbox drop-down list

  1. Open the Credentials tab.
  2. Click the Sender mailbox drop-down list.
  3. If no mailbox account has been added yet, click + Sign in account.
  4. In the Sign in account dialog box, enter a custom account name, the email address, and the email authorization code.
  5. Click Add to finish mailbox authorization.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The added mailbox account appears in the sender mailbox list.
  • Next step available: You can select that account and continue configuring the email content.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: An email authorization code is not the same as the mailbox sign-in password.
  • Environment note: A working internet connection is needed while adding the account.

3. Set advanced connection options

Entry point: Sign in account dialog box → Advanced settings

  1. While adding a mailbox account, open Advanced settings.
  2. Enter the SMTP server if needed.
  3. Enter the port number if needed.
  4. Turn SSL on or off based on the mailbox service requirements.
  5. Save the settings and complete the account setup.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The advanced settings are saved with the current mailbox account.
  • Next step available: The account can be used for later email sending setup.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: A mismatch between server address, port, and SSL settings can cause sending failures.
  • Environment note: Use the connection values required by your mailbox provider.

4. Separate credentials and parameters

Entry point: Right-side panel → Credentials / Parameters

  1. Open Credentials first and complete sender mailbox authorization.
  2. Then open Parameters and set the recipient, subject, and message body.
  3. Check that the sender account and message content match the workflow task.
  4. Save the current email node.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: Credential settings and message content are completed in their own tabs.
  • Next step available: The email node can continue as part of the automation workflow.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If mailbox authorization is completed but message parameters are left empty, the node setup is incomplete.
