FAQ

Can I group by multiple fields?

  1. Yes. You can build multiple grouping levels step by step.
  2. Earlier groups usually act as outer levels, while later groups can act as inner levels.
  3. After setup, use the outline controls to expand each level as needed.

Can I sort data after grouping?

  1. Yes. You can still use sorting tools after grouping data.
  2. Before sorting, check that the grouped range and data structure are still complete.
  3. After sorting, review each grouped section to confirm the display still matches your intended layout.

Does grouping affect formulas?

  1. Grouping mainly changes how data is displayed.
  2. It does not change the original cell content.
  3. If a result looks incorrect, check the formula references rather than the grouping state.
