How-to Guide
1. Add a Sort Rule
Entry: Toolbar → Sort → Sort Conditions
- Open the target table.
- Click Sort in the toolbar.
- Click Sort Conditions.
- Select the field you want to sort by.
- Choose Ascending or Descending.
- Check whether the records are rearranged based on the selected rule.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The record order in the table changes.
- Next action available: You can continue adding new sort conditions or adjust the current rule.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If field types and stored values do not match, the sorting result may not match your expectation.
- Environment note: Check that numbers, text, and dates are formatted correctly before sorting.
2. Set Multi-Field Sorting
Entry: Toolbar → Sort → Sort Conditions
- Click Sort Conditions and set the first field and sort order.
- Click Sort Conditions again to add the second field and sort order.
- Continue adding more fields as needed.
- Review the rules from top to bottom based on priority.
- Check whether records are sorted by the first field and then refined by the following fields.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: Records with the same primary field value are further rearranged by the secondary field.
- Next action available: You can continue adjusting field order or changing ascending and descending settings.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: The order in which fields are added affects the final sorting priority.
3. Turn On Automatic Sorting
Entry: Toolbar → Sort → Automatic Sorting
- Set at least one sort condition first.
- Click Automatic Sorting.
- Add or edit records in the table.
- Check whether records update their positions automatically based on the existing rules.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: New or edited records move into the expected order automatically.
- Next action available: You can continue entering data without manually re-sorting each time.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If no sort condition is set first, the automatic sorting effect may not be obvious.
4. Remove Sort Conditions
Entry: Toolbar → Sort → Sort Conditions
- Click Sort.
- Open the Sort Conditions list.
- Remove the sort conditions you no longer need.
- Return to the table and review the updated record order.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The removed sort rules no longer take effect.
- Next action available: You can add new sort conditions again.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Before removing multiple conditions, confirm which rules you still want to keep.
