How-to Guide
1. Create a Rich Text Field
Entry point: the + button on the right side of the table header → Rich Text field
- Open the target WPS data table.
- Click the + button on the right side of the table header.
- Select Rich Text from the field type list.
- Enter the field name.
- Click OK to finish creating the field.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: a new Rich Text Field column appears in the table.
- Next action available: you can click a cell in that field and start entering content.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: closing the dialog before confirming the field name may prevent the field from being created.
- Environment note: you need edit permission for the current data table.
2. Edit Rich Text Content
Entry point: target cell → open the rich text editor → enter content
- Click the target cell in the Rich Text Field.
- Enter text in the rich text editor that opens.
- Use the toolbar as needed to apply bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, and other text styles.
- Set heading levels, ordered lists, or unordered lists as needed.
- Insert links, images, or other supported content as needed.
- Click outside the cell when you finish editing to confirm the changes.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: the cell displays the edited rich text content.
- Next action available: when you click the cell again, you can continue editing the existing content.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: if you do not click outside the cell after editing, your current changes may not be confirmed in time.
- Environment note: when exported to Excel or CSV, formatting does not remain in the original rich text presentation.
