1. Insert Rich Text Content Control
Feature entry: Developer → Rich Text Content Control
- Open WPS Writer and open the target document.
- Make sure Design Mode is already enabled.
- Place the cursor where you want to insert the control.
- Click Rich Text Content Control.
- After the control appears in the document, continue typing or move on to property setup.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: An editable rich text content control area appears in the document.
- Next action available: You can select the control and continue setting properties or entering content.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the cursor is not placed first, the control may be inserted in an unexpected location.
- Environment note: The Developer tab needs to be available.
2. Set Control Properties
Feature entry: Developer → Control Properties
- Select the inserted Rich Text Content Control in the document.
- Click Control Properties.
- Set basic properties such as the title and placeholder text.
- If needed, set whether the control is removed after the content is edited.
- If needed, set whether the Enter key is allowed.
- Confirm the settings and return to the document.
