1. Add a Last Modified By Field

Entry path: + on the right side of the table header → Field type list → Last Modified By

  1. Open the smart table data sheet that you want to edit.
  2. Click the + button on the right side of the table header.
  3. Select Last Modified By from the field type list.
  4. Enter a field name.
  5. Click OK to finish creating the field.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A new Last Modified By column appears in the table.
  • Next action: You can continue to open field settings and adjust the update scope.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the table is not in an editable state, you may not be able to add a new field.
  • Environment note: You need edit permission for the data sheet.

2. Set the Update Scope

Entry path: Right-click the field title → Field SettingsScope

  1. Find the Last Modified By field that has already been created in the data sheet.
  2. Right-click the field title and select Field Settings.
  3. Choose the update condition in the scope settings.
  4. To update the editor when any field changes, select All Fields.
  5. To update the editor only when key fields change, select Selected Fields, then choose the target fields.
  6. Save the settings and return to the data sheet.
