How-to Guide
1. Set a grouping field
Entry: Toolbar → Group → Add Condition
- Open the target data table.
- Click Group on the toolbar.
- Click Add Condition.
- Select the field you want to use for grouping and set the grouping condition.
- Confirm the selection and let the table group records by field value.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The table shows grouped sections based on the selected field value.
- Next action available: You can review records inside each group or add another grouping condition.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the selected field has many empty values or low category differences, the grouping result may not be obvious.
- Environment note: The table must already contain fields that can be used for grouping.
2. Expand or collapse all groups
Entry: Toolbar → Group → Expand/Collapse All
- Open a data table that already has grouping applied.
- Click Group on the toolbar.
- Click Expand/Collapse All.
- Review the updated group display state.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: All groups switch to the same expanded or collapsed state.
- Next action available: You can review the overall structure or inspect detailed records after expanding.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If no grouping condition has been added yet, there will be no grouped structure to switch.
3. Remove data grouping
Entry: Toolbar → Group
- Open a grouped data table.
- Click Group on the toolbar.
- Remove the existing grouping condition in the grouping panel.
- Return to the table and review the flat list view.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The grouped structure disappears and records return to an ungrouped list view.
- Next action available: You can set a new grouping condition or continue editing records.
- No side effect: Original records stay unchanged.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Removing a grouping condition only changes the display and does not clear table data.
4. Create nested grouping
Entry: Toolbar → Group → Add Condition
- Open the target data table and click Group on the toolbar.
- Click Add Condition and choose the first grouping field.
- Click Add Condition again and choose a second field or more.
- Review the nested grouping structure created by the field order.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The table shows layered grouping based on multiple fields.
- Next action available: You can expand one level and continue reviewing lower-level records.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Field order affects the grouping hierarchy, so choose the primary grouping field first.
