1. Add a Field

Entry: Toolbar → Field Management → Add Field

  1. Open the smart table data sheet that you want to edit.
  2. Click Field Management in the toolbar.
  3. In the panel, click Add Field.
  4. Select the field type you need.
  5. Enter a field name.
  6. Click Confirm to create the field.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The new field appears in the field list and in the data sheet.
  • Next action available: You can continue entering data or adjusting field settings.

Tips While Using

  • Use clear field names so the table stays easy to maintain.
  • Before adding a new field, check whether an existing field already covers the same purpose.

2. Edit an Existing Field

Entry: Toolbar → Field Management → More options next to a field → Edit

  1. Open the smart table data sheet and click Field Management.
  2. Find the field that you want to change.
  3. Click the ... icon next to that field.
  4. Select Edit.
  5. Adjust the field settings as needed.
  6. Click Confirm to save the change.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The field name or settings update to the new content.
  • Next action available: You can continue maintaining other fields or return to data entry.

Tips While Using

  • Before editing a field, check whether existing data may be affected.
  • If the field name is shared across a team workflow, align the naming rule before changing it.

3. Delete an Existing Field

Entry: Toolbar → Field Management → More options next to a field → Delete

  1. Click Field Management in the toolbar.
  2. Find the field that you want to remove.
  3. Click the ... icon next to the field.
  4. Select Delete.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompt to complete the deletion.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The target field is removed from the field list and the current data sheet.
  • Next action available: You can continue cleaning up the table structure.

Tips While Using

  • Confirm that the field and its data are no longer needed before deleting it.
  • For important business tables, consider making a backup first.

4. Reorder Fields

Entry: Toolbar → Field Management → Drag handle in front of a field

  1. Open the Field Management panel.
  2. Find the field that you want to move.
  3. Hold the drag handle in front of the field.
  4. Drag the field to the target position.
  5. Release the mouse to finish reordering.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The field order updates to the new arrangement.
  • Next action available: You can continue adjusting other fields or start reviewing data.

Tips While Using

  • Arrange fields by workflow order, input frequency, or review priority.
  • Planning the target order first can reduce repeated dragging.

5. Hide or Show Fields

Entry: Toolbar → Field Management → Eye icon next to a field

  1. Click Field Management in the toolbar.
  2. Find the target field in the panel.
  3. Click the eye icon next to the field.
  4. Click once to hide the field, and click again to show it.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The field becomes hidden or visible in the current data sheet.
  • Next action available: You can switch the visibility of more fields for the current view.

Tips While Using

  • Hiding a field affects visibility and does not delete the field.
  • This is useful when you want a simpler view for presenting, entering, or reviewing data.
