1. Create an automation workflow

Entry: Automation Process at the top of a Smart Spreadsheet Data Table

  1. Open a Smart Spreadsheet Data Table and click Automation Process at the top.
  2. In the automation panel, click Workflow Templates and choose a preset template if needed.
  3. Enter the workflow editor and add trigger conditions and actions.
  4. Select a trigger condition, such as when a record is added, when a record is edited, when a specified time in a record is reached, or on a schedule.
  5. Configure actions such as add record, edit record, find content, run script, or send message.
  6. Click Save and Enable to activate the workflow.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the new workflow appears in the automation list and shows an enabled or manageable state.
  • What you can do next: you can continue editing the workflow, review its details, or return to the table.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if the trigger condition or action is incomplete, the workflow may not run as expected.
  • Environment note: enabling workflows and checking later runs usually requires an internet connection.

2. Manage automation workflows

Entry: Automation Process → workflow management panel

  1. Click Automation Process to open the workflow management panel.
  2. Click ... next to a workflow to view available actions.
  3. Use the management options you need: enable or disable a workflow, click the workflow name to edit it, click Copy to create another workflow with the same setup, click Delete Workflow to remove it, or click Run Log to review trigger and execution history.
  4. If you want failure alerts, select Run Failure Notification and set the notification recipients.

  • What you can do next: you can continue enabling, disabling, copying, or reviewing workflow history.
