1. Create an automation workflow

Entry point: The Automation Process button at the top of a Smart Table

  1. Open the Smart Table where you want to build a workflow.
  2. Click the Automation Process button at the top of the table.
  3. In the automation panel, click Workflow Templates if you want to start from a preset workflow.
  4. Enter the workflow editor and add trigger conditions and actions.
  5. Choose a trigger such as when a record is added, when a record is edited, when a specified time in a record is reached, or on a schedule.
  6. Configure actions such as adding a record, editing a record, finding content, running a script, or sending a message.
  7. Click Save and Enable to activate the workflow.

Success Criteria

  • The new workflow appears in the workflow list and shows as enabled.
  • You can continue editing the workflow, reviewing logs, or changing its status.

Tips While Using

  • Incomplete trigger or action settings can prevent the workflow from running as expected.
  • Message-based or online actions usually work better with a stable internet connection.

2. Manage automation workflows

Entry point: Automation Process → workflow management panel

  1. Click Automation Process to open the workflow management panel.
  2. Click the ... menu next to a workflow to view available actions.
  3. Enable, disable, edit, copy, or delete the workflow as needed.
  4. Click Run Logs to review trigger history and execution results.
  5. Turn on Failure Notifications if you want alerts when a workflow run fails.

Success Criteria

  • The selected workflow status or configuration is updated.
  • Run history is visible, and you can continue editing or duplicating the workflow.

Tips While Using

  • Deleting a workflow cannot be undone, so confirm before removing it.
  • Keep the network connection available when reviewing logs or notification settings.
