1. Add a table component to a dashboard

Entry point: Dashboard interface → + Add Component → View → Table

  1. Open the dashboard interface.
  2. Click the + Add Component button in the upper-left area.
  3. In the component panel, find the Table icon under View.
  4. Click Table to generate a default table component automatically.
  5. Click the new component to enter editing mode and continue configuring data.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: A new table component appears in the dashboard.
  • Next actions: You can open the configuration panel and continue adjusting data and display settings.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If you are not in a dashboard page, you may not see the + Add Component entry.
  • Environment limits: You need edit permission for the current dashboard.

2. Edit or delete a table

Entry point: Click an existing table → the ... icon in the upper-right corner

  1. Select the table component that has already been added to the dashboard.
  2. Click the ... icon in the upper-right corner of the component to open the menu.
  3. To change the table setup, select Configure.
  4. To duplicate the current table, select Duplicate.
  5. To remove the current table, select Delete.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The menu opens and shows options such as Configure, Duplicate, and Delete.
  • Next actions: You can continue editing, duplicating, or removing the component as needed.
  • No side effects: The current component remains unchanged until you confirm a delete action.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If the table component is not selected first, the menu can be easy to miss.
  • Environment limits: Configure or delete actions usually require the page to be editable.

3. Configure table settings

Entry point: Table configuration panel

  1. Open the configuration panel for the table component.
  2. Under Data Source, select the table you want to use.
  3. Under Record Filter, set the conditions for the records you want to display.
  4. Under Field Settings, choose which fields to show in the table.
  5. Under Sort, set the record order.
  6. Under Group, set how records are grouped.
  7. Under Row Height, switch the display style.
  8. Review the effect in the preview pane.
  9. Click OK to apply the settings.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The preview area updates as your settings change.
  • Next actions: After you click OK, the table displays data with the new settings.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If you change settings but do not click OK, the final result is not applied.
  • Environment limits: If the data source is permission-controlled, the visible fields and records may differ.
