How-to Guide
1. Add a Comment
Entry path: Select text → Comment → Enter your comment
- Press and hold to select the text or paragraph you want to comment on.
- In the pop-up menu, tap Comment.
- Enter your comment in the comment box.
- Add a voice comment, @mention, or image if needed.
- Tap Send to post the comment.
- Check for the blue comment icon beside the content area.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A comment marker appears next to the selected text.

Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not select text first, you may not start a text-anchored comment directly.

2. Reply to a Comment
Entry path: Tap a comment → Reply
- Tap an existing comment to open its content.
- Tap the + button or the reply entry.
- Enter your reply.
- Choose notification targets if needed.
- Send the reply.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A new reply appears under the original comment.
- What you can do next: You can continue the thread or handle the comment.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the specific comment thread is not open, you cannot enter a reply directly.
3. React with Emoji
Entry path: Tap a comment → Add emoji
- Tap an existing comment to open the comment card.
- Tap the 😃 emoji button.
- Select the emoji you want from the list.
- To remove it, tap the emoji button again and tap the same emoji.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The comment shows the emoji and your user name.
- What you can do next: You can add more reactions or continue with a text reply.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Tapping the same emoji again removes the existing reaction.
4. Resolve a Comment
Entry path: Tap a comment → Resolve and hide
- Tap the comment you want to handle.
- Tap Resolve and hide.
- Return to the document and check whether the comment is hidden from the current view.
- If needed, open All Comments to find it again.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The comment no longer appears in the current document comment view.
- What you can do next: You can still review resolved comments in All Comments.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Resolving a comment does not permanently delete it.
5. Use More Comment Actions
Entry path: Tap a comment → More
- Tap the target comment.
- Tap More.
- Choose Copy, Edit, or Delete as needed.
- Return to the thread and confirm the result.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The comment changes based on the selected action, or it is removed.
- What you can do next: You can continue managing other comments.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: After deletion, the original comment content is no longer kept in the current thread.
6. View All Comments
Entry path: In reading mode, tap All Comments at the top, or tap All Comments in the document info bar under the title
- Open the Smart Document.
- Tap All Comments at the top of the screen, or tap All Comments in the document info bar under the title.
- Review all comments and replies in the panel.
- Filter by comment type or comment status if needed.
- Tap a specific comment to locate and continue handling that discussion.
