1. Add a Comment

Entry path: Select text → Comment → Enter your comment

1. Press and hold to select the text or paragraph you want to comment on.
2. In the pop-up menu, tap Comment.
3. Enter your comment in the comment box.
4. Add a voice comment, @mention, or image if needed.
5. Tap Send to post the comment.
6. Check for the blue comment icon beside the content area.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: A comment marker appears next to the selected text.
• What you can do next: You can reply to, resolve, or review the comment thread.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: If you do not select text first, you may not start a text-anchored comment directly.
• Environment note: Keep a network connection available for @mentions and collaboration notifications.

2. Reply to a Comment

Entry path: Tap a comment → Reply

1. Tap an existing comment to open its content.
2. Tap the + button or the reply entry.
3. Enter your reply.
4. Choose notification targets if needed.
5. Send the reply.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: A new reply appears under the original comment.
• What you can do next: You can continue the thread or handle the comment.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: If the specific comment thread is not open, you cannot enter a reply directly.

3. React with Emoji

Entry path: Tap a comment → Add emoji

1. Tap an existing comment to open the comment card.
2. Tap the 😃 emoji button.
3. Select the emoji you want from the list.
4. To remove it, tap the emoji button again and tap the same emoji.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The comment shows the emoji and your user name.
• What you can do next: You can add more reactions or continue with a text reply.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: Tapping the same emoji again removes the existing reaction.

4. Resolve a Comment

Entry path: Tap a comment → Resolve and hide

1. Tap the comment you want to handle.
2. Tap Resolve and hide.
3. Return to the document and check whether the comment is hidden from the current view.
4. If needed, open All Comments to find it again.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The comment no longer appears in the current document comment view.
• What you can do next: You can still review resolved comments in All Comments.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: Resolving a comment does not permanently delete it.

5. Use More Comment Actions

Entry path: Tap a comment → More

1. Tap the target comment.
2. Tap More.
3. Choose Copy, Edit, or Delete as needed.
4. Return to the thread and confirm the result.

Success Criteria

• Interface result: The comment changes based on the selected action, or it is removed.
• What you can do next: You can continue managing other comments.

Tips While Using

• Common mistake: After deletion, the original comment content is no longer kept in the current thread.

6. View All Comments

Entry path: In reading mode, tap All Comments at the top, or tap All Comments in the document info bar under the title

1. Open the Smart Document.
2. Tap All Comments at the top of the screen, or tap All Comments in the document info bar under the title.
3. Review all comments and replies in the panel.
4. Filter by comment type or comment status if needed.
5. Tap a specific comment to locate and continue handling that discussion.
