Why is the Smart Document option missing from the new menu?

  1. Confirm that the current file is a Smart Spreadsheet file (.sst).
  2. If the current file is a standard worksheet file (.xlsx), you cannot create a smart document there.
  3. Create or open a Smart Spreadsheet file, then go to “+” → “App” → “Smart Document” from the bottom tab bar.

What is the difference between a smart document and a standard worksheet?

  1. A smart document focuses on rich text editing and is suitable for notes, meeting records, proposals, and structured written content.
  2. A standard worksheet is cell-based and is more suitable for data entry, calculation, and analysis.
  3. If you need both data work and explanatory writing in one file, you can use them together.

Can content in a smart document reference data from a data table?

  1. Type “/” in the smart document editor to open the quick insert menu.
  2. Select a data-table-related component from the available insert options.
  3. Reference the data you want to display from a data table in the same Smart Spreadsheet file.
