Common questions about WPS Sort mainly involve finding the entry, restoring the original order, and confirming the correct data range; this section covers 3 frequent questions and a glossary.

FAQ

Why can't I find the sort option?

  1. Make sure you opened a WPS Spreadsheet file instead of a read-only preview.
  2. Select the data range or target column first.
  3. Tap Tools at the bottom, then open Data to find Ascending or Descending. You can also tap a column and check the floating menu.

How do I restore the original order after sorting?

  1. Tap Undo right after sorting.
  2. If you already made other edits, check whether you can still return to the state before sorting.
  3. For important data, save a copy or back up the original sheet before sorting.

Why does the sorting result look wrong?

  1. Check whether only part of the data was selected, which can leave related rows or columns out of the sort.
  2. Confirm whether you used ascending or descending order.
  3. If the sheet contains a header row or mixed content, verify the selected range and sort again.
