This FAQ covers 3 common questions about finding the Shape entry, editing text in shapes, and handling vertex changes, plus a short glossary.
FAQ
Why can’t I find the Shape entry?
- Make sure you are working in a WPS Spreadsheet worksheet.
- Check the Insert tab on the top ribbon.
- Look for the Shape button in that tab.
- If the layout looks different, enlarge the window or switch to a standard ribbon view.
Can I edit text inside a shape?
- Select the inserted shape first.
- Type directly inside the shape, or double-click the shape and enter text.
- Then adjust the shape appearance through formatting options.
- If needed, continue refining both the text and the shape style.
What should I do if the shape looks distorted after editing vertices?
- Select the shape again and reopen Edit Vertices.
- Drag the points one by one and watch the outline change.
- If the change is too large, undo the last action and edit again.
- It is usually easier to set the rough outline first and then refine the details.
