1. Enter Page Break Preview

Entry: View tab → Page Break Preview

  1. Open the spreadsheet file that you want to review before printing.
  2. Click the View tab.
  3. Click Page Break Preview.
  4. Check whether the worksheet switches to Page Break Preview mode.
  5. Review the blue dashed lines that indicate page boundaries.
  6. Click Page Break Preview again to exit the preview mode.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The worksheet shows page break preview with visible page boundaries.
  • Next action available: You can continue reviewing page ranges or drag page break lines.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If no spreadsheet file is open, you cannot review page break preview meaningfully.

2. Switch Page Break Preview from the Status Bar

Entry: Bottom status bar → Page Break Preview

  1. Open a spreadsheet file and look at the status bar at the bottom of the window.
  2. Find Page Break Preview in the status bar.
  3. Click it to enter Page Break Preview mode.
  4. To return to the normal editing view, click Normal View.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The view switches after you click the status bar option.
  • Next action available: After entering Page Break Preview, you can continue checking page boundaries.

3. Adjust Page Break Positions

Entry: Blue page break lines in Page Break Preview

  1. Enter Page Break Preview first.
  2. Move the pointer over a blue page break line.
  3. When the pointer changes to a draggable state, click and drag the line.
  4. Move the page boundary to the position you want.
  5. Release the mouse to finish the adjustment.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The page break line moves to a new position.
  • Next action available: You can continue adjusting other page breaks or return to normal view for editing.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the page break line is not selected accurately, the drag action may not work.
