Will inserting cells affect formula references?

  1. Check whether there are formulas near the area where you plan to insert cells.
  2. After inserting cells, review the related formula results.

How do I delete an entire row or column?

  1. Select the target cell or the related area first.
  2. Open Tools and go to the Home tab.
  3. Tap Delete Cells, then choose Entire Row or Entire Column.

Where does the original data go after I insert cells?

  1. Check whether you selected the option to shift cells right or shift cells down.
  2. After insertion, the original data moves to the adjacent position in that direction.
