1. Hide a Sheet from the Right-Click Menu
Feature entry: Right-click a sheet tab → Hide
- In the sheet tab bar, right-click the worksheet tab that you want to hide.
- Click Hide.
- Check the tab bar and confirm that the selected worksheet tab is no longer visible.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The hidden worksheet tab no longer appears in the tab bar.
- What you can do next: You can still switch to and edit other visible worksheets.
Tips While Using
- A workbook must keep at least one visible worksheet.
- Hiding changes only the display state and does not remove worksheet data.
2. Hide a Sheet from the Ribbon
Feature entry: Home tab → Worksheet → Hide Sheet
- Select the worksheet that you want to hide.
- Click the Home tab.
- Open the Worksheet menu.
- Click Hide Sheet.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The currently selected worksheet tab is hidden.
- What you can do next: You can continue editing data in other worksheets.
Tips While Using
- If the current sheet is the last visible worksheet, it cannot be hidden.
- Before using the ribbon path, confirm that the correct worksheet is selected.
3. Unhide a Sheet from the Right-Click Menu
Feature entry: Right-click any visible sheet tab → Unhide
- In the sheet tab bar, right-click any visible worksheet tab.
- Click Unhide.
- In the dialog box, select the worksheet that you want to show again.
- Click OK.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The selected hidden worksheet appears again in the tab bar.
- What you can do next: After it is restored, you can open and edit that worksheet directly.
Tips While Using
- The Unhide command is useful only when the workbook already contains hidden sheets.
- Check the worksheet name before confirming to avoid restoring the wrong sheet.
4. Unhide a Sheet from the Ribbon
Feature entry: Home tab → Worksheet → Unhide Sheet
- Click the Home tab.
- Open the Worksheet menu.
- Click Unhide Sheet.
- In the dialog box, select the worksheet that you want to show.
- Click OK.

Tips While Using
- If there are no hidden sheets, the dialog box will not provide a sheet to restore.
