1. Hide a Sheet from the Right-Click Menu

Feature entry: Right-click a sheet tab → Hide

  1. In the sheet tab bar, right-click the worksheet tab that you want to hide.
  2. Click Hide.
  3. Check the tab bar and confirm that the selected worksheet tab is no longer visible.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The hidden worksheet tab no longer appears in the tab bar.
  • What you can do next: You can still switch to and edit other visible worksheets.

Tips While Using

  • A workbook must keep at least one visible worksheet.
  • Hiding changes only the display state and does not remove worksheet data.

2. Hide a Sheet from the Ribbon

Feature entry: Home tab → Worksheet → Hide Sheet

  1. Select the worksheet that you want to hide.
  2. Click the Home tab.
  3. Open the Worksheet menu.
  4. Click Hide Sheet.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The currently selected worksheet tab is hidden.
  • What you can do next: You can continue editing data in other worksheets.

Tips While Using

  • If the current sheet is the last visible worksheet, it cannot be hidden.

3. Unhide a Sheet from the Right-Click Menu

  1. In the sheet tab bar, right-click any visible worksheet tab.
  2. Click Unhide.
  3. In the dialog box, select the worksheet that you want to show again.
  4. Click OK.

  • The Unhide command is useful only when the workbook already contains hidden sheets.

4. Unhide a Sheet from the Ribbon
