FAQ

Will Clear Formatting delete cell content?

  1. No. Clear Formatting removes fonts, colors, borders, fills, and other formatting only.
  2. After the action, the text or numeric content in the cell remains.
  3. If you want to remove both content and formatting, choose Clear All instead.

How do I clear only one type of content instead of clearing everything?

  1. Select the target cell or range.
  2. Open the Clear drop-down menu, or expand the clear list from the right-click menu.
  3. Choose Clear Formatting, Clear Contents, Clear Comments, Clear Special Characters, or Clear Partial Text based on your needs.

How do I undo clear formatting in WPS on Windows?

  1. If you just completed the action, press Ctrl + Z right away.
  2. You can also click the Undo button on the Quick Access Toolbar.
  3. If you already continued editing, reapply the needed formatting or use Format Painter to restore a similar style.
