How-to Guide

1. Turn On Show Sum/Count

Entry: Tools → View → Show Sum/Count

  1. Select the cells or range that you want to calculate and count.
  2. Tap Tools at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Open the View tab.
  4. Tap Show Sum/Count to turn it on.
  5. Check the floating summary bar at the top of the screen for Sum, Average, Maximum, Minimum, Count, Numerical Count, and Formula information.
  6. If you want to reuse a result, tap any summary item to copy it to the clipboard.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A floating summary bar appears at the top of the screen.
  • You can continue: You can review multiple summary values and tap a result to copy it.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If no cells are selected first, the summary results may not appear as expected.
  • Data note: Only valid numeric content can be included in calculations such as Sum and Average.

2. Turn Off Show Sum/Count

Entry: Tools → View → Show Sum/Count

  1. Tap Tools at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Open the View tab.
  3. Tap Show Sum/Count to turn it off.
  4. Confirm that the floating summary bar at the top of the screen is hidden.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The floating summary bar no longer appears at the top of the screen.
  • You can continue: You can keep viewing or editing the spreadsheet normally.
