1. Start a group call in a collaboration chat
Entry: Group chat window → bottom toolbar → Call or Meeting button
- Open the target group chat window and click the phone icon in the bottom toolbar. When you hover over it, the tooltip shows Meeting.
- In the drop-down menu, select All Members or Select Participants.
- If you choose All Members, click Confirm in the confirmation dialog to invite the full group.
- If you choose Select Participants, select the target members in the participant picker and click OK.
- After the meeting starts, you enter the meeting interface automatically, and the initiator becomes the host by default.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: You enter the meeting interface successfully.
- What you can do next: You can continue inviting members, communicate in the meeting, or use host controls that are available in the meeting.
- No unwanted effect: The original group chat context remains available for follow-up messages.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you are not inside the target group chat first, you cannot start the meeting from that group context.
- Invitation scope: All Members invites the full group. If only some people need to join, use Select Participants.
- Environment limits: Online meetings require a stable network connection and working audio devices.
