How-to Guide
1. Generate a sharing link from a target calendar
Entry: WPS Collaboration → Calendar → ... next to the target calendar → Share Calendar
- Open the WPS Collaboration client.
- In the left navigation pane on the home page, click Calendar.
- Find the calendar that you want to share.
- Click the ... More button next to the calendar name.
- Select Share Calendar from the drop-down menu.
- Wait for the app to generate a sharing link for that calendar.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: You enter the calendar sharing panel and can see a shareable link or permission settings.
- Next action available: You can continue to set permissions, copy the link, and send it to other members.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you choose the wrong calendar, you may share the wrong schedule. Check the calendar name before copying the link.
- Environment note: Generating a sharing link requires network access and an available collaborative calendar service.
2. Set sharing permissions and copy the link
Entry: Share Calendar panel → Permission settings → Copy link
- In the Share Calendar panel, review the generated link.
- Select the permission level you need.
- To show only availability, choose Free/Busy Only.
- To let recipients view full schedule details, choose View Schedule.
- To let recipients help maintain the calendar, choose Edit Schedule.
- Click Copy Link.
- Send the link to the relevant members through WPS Collaboration or another communication tool.
- Ask recipients to open the link and add the calendar to their own calendar list.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A permission level is selected and the link has been copied.
- Next action available: Recipients can use the link to add the shared calendar.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Choosing a permission level that is too broad may allow more editing than needed. Use the minimum access level that fits the task.
- Environment note: Recipients need to be able to open the shared link and access collaborative calendar features.
3. Choose a calendar from the home page and share it
Entry: Calendar home page → ... in the upper-right corner → Share Calendar
- On the calendar page, click the ... More button in the upper-right corner.
- Select Share Calendar from the drop-down menu.
- Choose the calendar that you want to share from the list.
- Wait for the app to generate the sharing link.
- Copy the link as needed and send it to members.
- Ask members to open the link and add the calendar to their own calendar list.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: You choose the target calendar from the home page and the sharing link is generated successfully.
- Next action available: You can copy the link, send it, or choose another calendar.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If several calendars are listed on the current page, confirm the name before sharing to avoid sending the wrong one.
