WPS Calendar Permissions on Windows FAQ

Last updated:July 23, 2026

When using WPS Calendar Permissions, the most common questions are about visibility scope, member access, and when saved changes take effect; this FAQ covers 4 common questions and answers.

FAQ

What is the difference between calendar permissions and the visibility of a single event?

  1. Calendar permissions control the default access scope for the entire calendar.
  2. A single event’s visibility is used for one specific event.
  3. If you need to manage team access consistently, adjust calendar permissions first.
  4. For sensitive items, then review the visibility setting of the individual event.

Can a regular member change calendar permissions?

  1. If the member created the calendar or has management permission, they can open Manage Calendar and change permissions.
  2. If they can only view or edit calendar content but do not have management permission, they usually cannot change sharing rules.
  3. If Manage Calendar or Permission Settings is not visible, check the current account’s permission level first.

Why can other people only see free/busy status instead of event details?

  1. Open Permission Settings for the target calendar.
  2. Check the permission level under Organization or Anyone.
  3. If the current setting is View free/busy only, other people will only see availability.
  4. If you want them to see more information, switch to a level that allows event details and save the change.

Why do permission changes for shared members not appear immediately?

  1. Confirm that you clicked Save.
  2. Ask the affected member to refresh the calendar page or reopen the calendar.
  3. Check whether you updated the correct member in the correct calendar.
  4. If the change still does not appear, confirm that the network connection is working and that your account has management permission.
