1. Apply Preset Table Effects
Feature entry: Table Styles tab → Effects → Shadow / Reflection
- Open your presentation and select the table that needs a visual effect.
- Click the Effects option under Table Tools.
- Select Shadow or Reflection to open the preset list.
- Click the effect you want to apply to the current table.
Success Criteria
- The selected table shows the shadow or reflection effect you chose.
- You can continue switching presets or move to detailed settings.
Tips While Using
- If the table is not selected first, the effect entry may not appear as expected.
- The effect applies to the whole table object rather than a single cell.
2. Customize Table Effects
Feature entry: Right-click table → Format Object → Shape Options → Effects
- Click any cell in the table so the whole table object is selected.
- Right-click the table to open the context menu.
- Click Format Object to open the Object Properties sidebar.
- Switch to the Shape Options tab.
- In the Effects section, click Shadow or Reflection to expand detailed settings.
- Adjust color, transparency, size, and related parameters while previewing the result in real time.
Success Criteria
- The sidebar shows the effect settings and the table appearance updates as you adjust them.
- You can continue refining the settings or switch back to no effect.
Tips While Using
- If only cell content is selected instead of the table object, the right-click path may differ.
- Too many visual effects can reduce slide clarity, so moderate use is recommended.
