1. Set Print Area

Feature path: Page Layout → Print Area → Set Print Area

  1. Select the cell range that you want to print.
  2. Click the Page Layout tab.
  3. Click the Print Area button.
  4. Select Set Print Area.
  5. The selected range is saved as the print area.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The selected range is stored as the print range.
  • Next action: You can open print preview or continue adjusting page settings.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Opening the Print Area menu before selecting cells may not produce the expected result.
  • Environment note: The final print result can also be affected by orientation, margins, and scaling settings.

2. Add to Print Area

Feature path: Page Layout → Print Area → Add to Print Area

  1. Select the cell range that you want to add.
  2. Click the Print Area button.
  3. Select Add to Print Area.
  4. Multiple ranges are printed on separate pages.

  • Interface result: The newly selected range is added to the existing print range.
  • Next action: You can continue adding more ranges or review the page order in print preview.

3. Clear Print Area

Feature path: Page Layout → Print Area → Clear Print Area

  • Next action: The next print job uses the full worksheet, or you can set a new print area again.
