1. Turn Eye Care Mode on or off from the View tab

Entry: View tab → Eye Care Mode

  1. Open the workbook that you want to view or edit.
  2. Click the View tab at the top of the window.
  3. Click Eye Care Mode.
  4. Confirm that the editing area changes to light green.
  5. To turn it off, click Eye Care Mode again.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the worksheet editing area changes to a light green display.
  • What you can do next: you can continue entering, editing, reviewing, and saving spreadsheet content.
  • No side effect: cell content and print output stay unchanged.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if you only switch to the tab without clicking the button, the display will not change.

2. Turn Eye Care Mode on or off from the status bar

Entry: bottom status bar

  1. Open any workbook and enter the editing view.
  2. Find the Eye Care Mode icon on the bottom status bar.
  3. Click the icon to turn Eye Care Mode on.
  4. Confirm that the editing area changes to light green.
  5. Click the icon again to turn the mode off.

  • Interface result: the worksheet area switches display immediately after you click the status bar icon.
  • What you can do next: you can keep editing in the current workbook without reopening the file.
