Will Split Columns damage my original data?

  1. By default, the split result is written to the columns on the right side of the original data.
  2. If the target area already contains data, cancel the current action first.
  3. Insert blank columns on the right, or run the split in a blank area.
  4. Run Split Columns again and review the result.

How do I undo Split Columns after using it?

  1. Tap Undo immediately after the split is completed.
  2. Confirm that the spreadsheet returns to the state before the split.
  3. If you want to try again, adjust the target area first and then repeat the split.

Why can’t I find the Split Columns entry?

  1. Confirm that the current file is an editable spreadsheet.
  2. Select a cell or range, then tap Tools at the bottom.
  3. Open the Data tab and look for Split Columns.
  4. You can also check whether the floating menu shows the related option.
