1. Transfer document ownership from the Share panel
Entry: Open the document → Share at the upper right → Advanced Settings → Transfer Document Ownership
- Open the shared document whose ownership you want to transfer, and click Share at the upper right.
- In the Share panel, click Advanced Settings.
- Click Transfer Document Ownership.
- Select Choose Contact Transfer or Transfer via Link.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to finish the process.

- Interface result: The page shows that the transfer is completed or waiting for confirmation.
- What you can do next: The new owner can continue managing document permissions.
- No side effect: The original creator no longer keeps document owner permissions.

2. Transfer document ownership from the file action menu
Entry: Open the document → File Action button at the upper left → Document Management → Transfer Document Ownership
- Open the shared document whose ownership you want to transfer.
- Click the File Action button at the upper left.
- Click Document Management.
- Click Transfer Document Ownership.
- Follow the prompts to complete the transfer.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: Document management shows that the handover is completed or in progress.
- What you can do next: You can return to the document and continue checking collaboration status.
- No side effect: The document content itself is not changed by the ownership transfer.

3. Transfer document ownership from the WPS home page
Entry: My Cloud Documents → Share on the right side of the document → Advanced Settings or Document Management → Transfer Document Ownership
- Open WPS and find the document you want to transfer on the home page.
- Click the blue Share button on the right side of the document.
- Open the related settings and click Document Management or the transfer entry.
- Choose contact transfer or link transfer.
- Confirm the action to complete the ownership transfer.
