1. Create a Gantt view

Entry path: Data table → “+” icon → Gantt View

  1. Open the target multidimensional table and go to the data table you want to review.
  2. Click the “+” icon on the right side of the data table.
  3. Select “Gantt View” from the available view options.
  4. Open the new Gantt view and get ready to configure its fields.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: a Gantt view appears in the view list.
  • Next action available: you can click Gantt configuration to continue setting date fields.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if you do not click the “+” icon on the right side of the data table, you may not enter the add-view flow.

2. Configure the start date field and end date field

Entry path: Gantt View → Gantt configuration

  1. In the Gantt view you created, click “Gantt configuration.”
  2. Find the Start date field setting.
  3. Select a date-type field as the start date field.
  4. Find the End date field setting.
  5. Select a date-type field as the end date field.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: both the start date field and end date field appear as selected.
  • Next action available: the view can try to render Gantt bars from the selected date fields.

  1. Confirm that the data table already contains date values.
  2. Check whether both the start date field and end date field are configured correctly.
  3. Verify that each task’s start date is earlier than its end date.
  4. Return to the Gantt view and check whether the task bars display normally.
