- Open the target multi-dimensional table.
- In the left-side table panel, find the table view that you want to switch.
- Click the More Actions button next to that view.
- In the drop-down menu, select Personal View/Public View.
- Click a blank area in the table to apply the setting.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The view type setting is applied.
- Next action available: You can continue viewing or adjusting the current view.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not click a blank area, the setting may not be applied yet.
- Environment note: Open the target multi-dimensional table first and locate the correct view before switching it.
2. Check whether a view has been switched to a personal view
Entry: Check the icon shown next to the view after switching
- Follow the steps in the previous section to set the target view as a personal view.
- Check whether a person icon appears next to the view.
- If the person icon appears, the view has been marked as a personal view.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A person icon appears next to the view.
- Next action available: You can continue viewing and adjusting that personal view.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not see the icon, open the More Actions menu again and confirm the current setting.
3. Understand the visibility scope of personal and public views
Entry: Identify who can see the current view type
- Open a view in the target multi-dimensional table.
- Check whether the current view is a personal view or a public view.
- If it is a personal view, only the current user can see it.
- If it is a public view, collaborators with viewing permission can see it.
- Choose the appropriate view type before collaborating.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: You can clearly identify the visibility scope of the current view.
- Next action available: You can keep the current view or switch it based on collaboration needs.
- No side effect: Switching the view type does not change the shared underlying data source.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: Treating a personal view as a team-shared view may cause collaborators to see a different result.
- Environment note: Whether others can see a public view depends on whether they have viewing permission.
