How-to Index

How-to Guide

1. Add a Group

Entry point: Bottom toolbar → Tools → Group → Add Group Condition

  1. In the table view, tap Tools on the bottom toolbar.
  2. In the pop-up panel, select Group.
  3. Tap Add Group Condition.
  4. Select the field you want to use for grouping.
  5. Tap Confirm to finish the setup.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: Group headers appear in the Gantt view based on the selected field values.
  • Next actions: You can expand or collapse groups, or continue reviewing grouped tasks.
  • No side effects: The timeline and task dates stay the same.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: If you are not in the related DBSheet view first, you may not see the grouping entry.
  • Environment limits: Open a DBSheet that already contains a Gantt view before starting.

2. Expand or Collapse a Group

Entry point: Tap the expand or collapse icon to the left of a group header

  1. After grouping is applied, find the group headers in the Gantt view.
  2. Tap the expand or collapse icon to the left of a group header.
  3. When collapsed, only the group header is shown. When expanded, all records in the group are shown.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The group can switch between collapsed and expanded states.
  • Next actions: You can continue reviewing other groups or focus on the task group you need.
  • No side effects: The grouping condition itself is not removed.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: Tapping the task bar itself does not switch the group state. Tap the icon next to the group header instead.

3. Remove a Group

Entry point: Bottom toolbar → Tools → Group → Existing Group Condition → Delete

  1. Tap Tools on the bottom toolbar.
  2. Select Group.
  3. Find the existing grouping condition.
  4. Tap the delete option next to that condition.
  5. After the group is removed, records return to the default order.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: Group headers disappear and task bars return to the default arrangement.
  • Next actions: You can add a new grouping condition or continue reviewing tasks directly.
  • No side effects: The original data is not modified or deleted.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistakes: Removing a grouping condition only clears the current grouped display and does not delete task records.
