1. Create a Gantt View

Entry point: Table screen → View List → “+”

  1. Open a DBSheet table.
  2. Tap View List in the lower-left area.
  3. In the view list, switch to an existing table view or tap + to create a new view.
  4. Select Gantt View.
  5. The table is displayed as a timeline-based Gantt view.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: The current table switches to a timeline-style Gantt interface.
  • Next actions: You can continue to Gantt settings and set date fields.

Tips While Using

  • The table should contain date-related fields for a more complete timeline display.
  • If you are still in a regular table view, switch again from the View List.

2. Set Start and End Date Fields

Entry point: Gantt View → lower-right Tools tab → Gantt Settings

  1. In Gantt View, tap the Tools tab in the lower-right area.
  2. Tap Gantt Settings.
  3. Set the start date field for the Gantt view.
  4. Set the end date field as needed.
  5. Return to the Gantt view and check whether task bars match the selected date range.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: Task bars in the Gantt view align with the selected start and end date fields.
  • Next actions: You can continue reviewing task spans on the timeline.

Tips While Using

  • At least one date field is needed for the start date field.
  • Setting both start and end date fields is recommended for a fuller timeline span.

3. Review the Gantt Timeline

Entry point: An existing Gantt view

  1. Open an existing Gantt view.
  2. Review the distribution of task bars on the timeline.
  3. Compare the start and end positions of each bar to confirm the task date range.
  4. Use the timeline result to check whether the schedule looks reasonable.

Success Criteria

  • UI state: Tasks are displayed as timeline bars.
  • Next actions: You can adjust date fields in the table or return to settings to refine the display.

Tips While Using

  • If task bars do not display as expected, first check whether the start date field and end date field are set correctly.
  • If only a start date field is set, the timeline span may be less complete.
