1. Create a Rich Text Field

Entry: Click the + button on the right side of the header row → open the field type list → select Rich Text

  1. Open the target Bitable.
  2. Click the + button on the right side of the header row.
  3. Select Rich Text from the field type list.
  4. Enter a field name.
  5. Click Confirm to finish.

Success Criteria

  • A new Rich Text Field column appears in the table.
  • The field name is visible in the header row.
  • Cells in that column can be clicked for editing.

Tips While Using

  • Use a field name that matches the purpose of the content.
  • If you do not have edit permission for the table, you may not be able to add a field.

2. Enter Rich Text Content

Entry: Click the target cell to start editing

  1. Click a cell in the Rich Text Field column.
  2. Enter the text you want to save after the editor opens.
  3. Press Enter to add a new line.
  4. Continue adding paragraphs, notes, or details.

Success Criteria

  • The cell shows the text you entered.
  • The content remains editable.
  • Line breaks keep the content readable.

Tips While Using

  • For longer content, enter the text in sections first and then apply formatting.
  • If the content is long, open or expand the cell to continue reviewing and editing it.

3. Apply Text Styles and Lists

Entry: Open rich text editing mode → use the toolbar at the top of the window

  1. Click a Rich Text Field cell to enter editing mode.
  2. Select the text you want to format.
  3. Use the toolbar to apply bold, italic, or other text styles.
  4. Insert a numbered list or bulleted list when needed.
  5. Press Tab to adjust indentation when you need a nested structure.

Success Criteria

  • Selected text shows the style change.
  • List items appear with numbers or bullets.
  • The content structure becomes easier to read.

Tips While Using

  • Use styles for headings, keywords, and layered explanations instead of styling every line.
  • For long lists, organize the order first and then apply formatting.

Entry: Open rich text editing mode → use the toolbar at the top of the window

  1. Click the target cell to enter rich text editing mode.
  2. Place the cursor where you want to insert content.
  3. Select the link or image option in the toolbar.
  4. Enter the link address, or choose a local or online image to insert.
  5. Check the display result and content order after insertion.
  • The link appears correctly in the content.
  • The image remains in the field as part of the note.
  • Text and inserted content stay in a clear order.
  • Before inserting an image, confirm that it is relevant to the record.
  • Use clear link text so collaborators can understand the destination quickly.
