How-to Index

How-to Guide

1. Create a checkbox field

Entry point: Click the + button on the right side of the header row → field type list → Checkbox

  1. Click the + button on the right side of the header row.
  2. Select Checkbox from the field type list.
  3. Enter a field name.
  4. Click OK to finish creating the field.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A new checkbox field column appears in the table.
  • What you can do next: You can check or uncheck cells in that field directly.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the wrong table is active, the new field may be added in a different table.
  • Environment note: You need edit permission for the current table.

2. Toggle checkbox status

Entry point: Open the target cell → click the checkbox directly

  1. Find the record cell you want to update.
  2. Click the checkbox cell.
  3. A checked state shows a check mark, and an unchecked state shows an empty box.
  4. Continue clicking other records as needed to update multiple rows.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The cell switches between checked and unchecked states.
  • What you can do next: You can continue filtering, grouping, or reviewing records by status.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Double-clicking into another edit mode can slow down repeated checking.
  • Environment note: In collaboration scenarios, status changes update with the table content.

3. Set a default checked value

Entry point: Right-click the field title → field settings → default checked

  1. Right-click the checkbox field title.
  2. Select Field Settings.
  3. Turn on Default checked.
  4. Create a new record and confirm that the field is checked automatically.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: New records show this checkbox field as checked by default.
  • What you can do next: You can still clear the checkbox manually when needed.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Changing the default value does not batch-update the current state of existing records.
  • Environment note: You need permission to edit field settings.
