1. Open the field type entry

Entry path: Table view → Tap a header → Edit → Field Type

  1. Open the multi-dimensional table.
  2. Tap the header you want to edit.
  3. In the floating toolbar, tap Edit.
  4. Tap Field Type to open the field type list.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The field type selection screen opens.
  • Next action available: You can continue to choose a basic field type.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the header is not selected first, the field editing entry does not appear.
  • Environment note: You need edit permission for the current table.

2. Add a text or number field

Entry path: Field Type → Text / Number

  1. Open Field Type.
  2. Select Text or Number.
  3. Adjust the field properties as needed.
  4. Save the setting.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The header shows the new field type.
  • Next action available: You can enter text or numeric values in that column.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If a number field is used for text-only IDs, later input formatting may not match your needs.

3. Add option-based fields

Entry path: Field Type → Single-select / Multi-select

  1. Open the Field Type list.
  2. Select Single-select or Multi-select.
  3. Set the preset options for your workflow.
  4. Save the field setting.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The column can use preset options.
  • Next action available: A record can store one or more preset values.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Choosing single-select instead of multi-select, or the reverse, changes how later records can be entered.

4. Add date, time, and collaboration fields

Entry path: Field Type → Date / Time / Contact / Rich Text / Image and Attachment

  1. Open the Field Type list.
  2. Select Date, Time, Contact, Rich Text, or Image and Attachment.
  3. Adjust the field properties as needed.
  4. Save the field and return to the table.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The column switches to the selected field type.
  • Next action available: You can enter date or time values, select contacts, or upload images and attachments.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: Contact or attachment actions may feel less smooth when the network is unstable.
  • Environment note: A network connection is recommended for contact and attachment actions.

5. Change a field type and save it

Entry path: Tap a header → Edit → Field Type

  1. Tap the header of an existing field.
  2. Tap Edit.
  3. Open Field Type again.
  4. Select a new basic field type.
  5. Adjust the field properties and save.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The field type is updated.
  • Next action available: Later records can continue under the new field type.

  • Common mistake: If you do not review existing data before changing the field type, the display format may change.
