1. Create a Line Chart

Entry path: Dashboard → "+ Add Component" → Chart → "Line Chart"

  1. Open the dashboard.
  2. Click "+ Add Component" in the upper-left corner.
  3. In the component panel, find "Line Chart" under the Chart category.
  4. Click "Line Chart" to generate a default chart component.
  5. Click the component to enter editing mode and continue with data and style settings.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: a new line chart component appears in the dashboard.
  • What you can do next: you can open the editing panel and continue configuring data or style.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if you are not in the dashboard page, the add-component entry is not available.
  • Environment note: you need a data table that can be used for chart display.

2. Edit or Export a Chart

Entry path: Click the added chart → upper-right "..." menu

  1. Click the line chart component that has already been added.
  2. Click the "..." icon in the upper-right corner to open the menu.
  3. Choose Configure, Copy, Copy as Image, Export as Image, or Delete as needed.
  4. If you need chart output, select Copy as Image or Export as Image.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the upper-right menu opens and shows the available actions.
  • What you can do next: you can reconfigure the chart or output it as an image.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if the chart component is not selected first, the menu can be easy to miss.
  • Environment note: exporting an image requires local save permission.

3. Set Type and Data

Entry path: Line Chart editing panel → "Type and Data" tab

  1. Open the line chart editing panel and switch to "Type and Data".
  2. Select the data source and set the data range or filter conditions as needed.
  3. In Dimension (horizontal axis), choose a date field or another ordered field.
  4. In Type, choose a standard or stacked line style.
  5. In Metric (vertical axis), choose Count Records or a specified field summary.
  6. Set Grouping (legend), Sort By, Sort Order, and visible detail fields as needed.
  7. Preview the result and click Confirm to apply the settings.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the preview pane shows the updated line chart.
  • What you can do next: after you click Confirm, the chart updates with the current data settings.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if the horizontal axis field does not have a clear order, the trend may be hard to read.
  • Environment note: the selected data source fields need to support horizontal axis, vertical axis, or grouping settings.

4. Adjust Chart Style

Entry path: Line Chart editing panel → "Chart Style" tab

  1. Open the line chart editing panel and switch to "Chart Style".
  2. Choose a theme color set.
  3. Change the line effect if needed.
  4. Expand Series Colors and set colors for each data series.
  5. Expand Chart Elements and adjust the title, legend, data labels, and related display options.
  6. Preview the result and click Confirm to save the style settings.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: the preview area shows the updated colors, line effects, and chart elements.
  • What you can do next: after saving, the new chart style is applied in the dashboard.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if multiple series use very similar colors, the lines are harder to distinguish.
