How-to Guide
1. Create a bar chart
Entry path: Dashboard interface → + Add Component → Charts → Bar Chart
- Open the dashboard interface.
- Click + Add Component in the upper-left area.
- In the component panel, find Bar Chart under Charts.
- Click Bar Chart to insert a default chart component.
- Select the new chart and enter edit mode to continue with data setup.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A new bar chart component appears in the dashboard.
- What you can do next: You can open the editing panel and continue with data and style settings.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not look under the Charts category, you may miss the Bar Chart entry.

2. Edit or export a chart
Entry path: Select an existing chart → top-right ... menu
- Click the bar chart component that has already been added.
- Click the ... icon in the upper-right corner.
- Choose Configure, Copy, Copy as Image, Export as Image, or Delete.
- Complete the selected action as needed.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The drop-down menu opens and shows the available actions.
- What you can do next: You can reconfigure the chart or copy and export it as an image.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the chart is not selected first, the target menu may not appear as expected.
- Environment note: For image copy or export, the chart should finish rendering first.
3. Set chart type and data
Entry path: Bar Chart editing panel → Type & Data tab
- Open the Bar Chart editing panel and switch to Type & Data.
- Select the data source you want to use.
- Set the data range and filter conditions as needed.
- Choose the dimension field for category display.
- Select the chart type, such as regular or stacked.
- Set the value field by counting records or using a specified field.
- Configure grouping, sort basis, sort order, and display range as needed.
- Preview the result and click OK to apply the settings.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The preview pane shows the updated bar chart.
- What you can do next: After you click OK, the chart displays data based on the selected rules.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If the dimension field and value field do not match the analysis goal, the chart result may not be useful.

4. Adjust chart style
Entry path: Bar Chart editing panel → Chart Style tab
- Open the Bar Chart editing panel and switch to Chart Style.
- Choose a preset color scheme under Theme Color.
- Adjust each series color under Series Color.
- Set chart elements such as title, legend, and data labels.
- Preview the style result and click OK to save it.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The chart colors and visible elements update based on your settings.
