1. Create a Column Chart

Entry path: Dashboard interface → "+ Add Component" → Chart → "Column Chart"

  1. Open the dashboard interface and click "+ Add Component" in the upper-left area.
  2. In the component panel, find "Column Chart" under the Chart category.
  3. Click the Column Chart icon to generate a default chart component.
  4. Select the new component to enter editing mode and continue with data setup.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A new column chart component appears in the dashboard.
  • Next action available: You can open the editing panel to continue configuring data and style.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you are not in the dashboard page, the Add Component entry may not be available.

2. Edit or Export a Chart

Entry path: Select an added chart → click the "..." icon in the upper-right area

  1. Select the added column chart component.
  2. Click the "..." icon in the upper-right area to open the drop-down menu.
  3. Choose Configure, Copy, Copy as Image, Export as Image, or Delete as needed.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the selected action.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: The menu opens and shows the available actions.
  • Next action available: You can reconfigure the chart or copy, export, or delete it.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If the chart is not selected first, the related menu may not open as expected.

3. Configure Type and Data

Entry path: Column Chart editing panel → "Type and Data" tab

  1. Open the column chart editing panel and switch to the "Type and Data" tab.
  2. Select a data source and set filter conditions in the data range if needed.
  3. Choose a dimension field for the horizontal axis and set the chart type to regular or stacked.
  4. Set the statistic value, grouping, sort basis, sort order, and empty-cell display method.
  5. Hide or show detail fields as needed.
  6. Check the preview pane on the left, then click "OK" to apply the settings.

  • Interface result: The preview pane updates the column chart based on the current settings.

Entry path: Column Chart editing panel → "Chart Style" tab

  4. Adjust chart elements such as text style, legend, and data labels.
  5. Review the preview pane on the left, then click "OK" to apply the settings.
