1. Create a line chart

Entry path: Dashboard interface → + Add ComponentChartLine Chart

  1. Open the dashboard interface.
  2. Click + Add Component in the upper-left area.
  3. In the component panel, find Line Chart under the Chart category.
  4. Click Line Chart to insert a default chart component.
  5. Click the chart to enter editing mode and continue with data setup.

Success Criteria

  • Interface result: A new line chart component appears in the dashboard.
  • Next action available: You can continue to configure data and style settings.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: If you choose the wrong chart under the Chart category, a different chart type may be inserted.
  • Environment note: If the dashboard or data source has not finished loading, the preview may not display normally for a short time.

2. Open the chart menu

Entry path: Click the added chart → ... in the upper-right corner

  1. Click the line chart component in the dashboard.
  2. Click the ... icon in the upper-right corner of the component.
  3. Review the available actions in the drop-down menu.
  4. Select Configure, Copy, Copy as Image, Export as Image, or Delete as needed.

3. Configure type and data

Entry path: Line chart editing panel → Type & Data tab

  1. Open the line chart editing panel.
  2. Select the data table you want to use in Data Source.
  3. Click Data Filter to set the data range.
  4. Choose a date field or ordered field in Dimension (X-axis).
  5. Select a regular or stacked line style in Type.
  6. Choose Count Records or a specified field in Metric (Y-axis).
  7. Set Group By, Sort By, Sort Order, and visible detail fields as needed.
  8. Preview the result and click OK to apply the settings.

Entry path: Line chart editing panel → Chart Style tab

  4. Expand Series Color to customize each data series color.
  5. Expand Chart Elements to set the title, legend, data labels, and related items.
  6. Preview the result and click OK to save the style settings.

5. Copy or export the chart

Entry path: Click the chart → ... in the upper-right corner

  1. Select the line chart you want to output.
  2. Click the ... icon in the upper-right corner to open the menu.
  3. Select Copy to create a duplicate in the current dashboard, or choose Copy as Image or Export as Image.
  4. Follow the prompts to finish the copy or export action.
  5. Insert the exported image into a report, presentation, or other materials as needed.

  • Next action available: The image can be used for sharing, reporting, or archiving.
