How-to Guide

1. Add Grouping

Entry path: bottom toolbar → Tools → Grouping → Add Grouping

  1. In table view, tap Tools on the bottom toolbar.
  2. In the panel that opens, select Grouping.
  3. Tap Add grouping condition.
  4. Select the field you want to use for grouping.
  5. Tap OK to finish the setup.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: task bars in the Gantt view are grouped automatically by the selected field value.
  • What you can do next: you can continue to expand, collapse, or review grouped tasks.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: if you are not already in Gantt view, you may not see the grouping result clearly.
  • Environment note: open a file with Smart Form data first.

2. Expand or Collapse Groups

Entry path: tap the expand or collapse icon on the left side of a group title

  1. After grouping is applied, find the group title in the Gantt view.
  2. Tap the expand or collapse icon on the left side of the title.
  3. When collapsed, only the group title remains visible. When expanded, all records in the group are shown.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: grouped content switches between collapsed and expanded states.
  • What you can do next: you can continue reviewing other groups or move to another task area.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: tapping a task bar itself does not switch the group state. Tap the icon next to the group title instead.

3. Remove Grouping

Entry path: bottom toolbar → Tools → Grouping → existing grouping condition → Delete

  1. Tap Tools on the bottom toolbar.
  2. Select Grouping.
  3. Tap Delete next to the grouping condition that has already been added.
  4. Confirm that the grouping is removed and check whether tasks return to the default order.

Success Criteria

  • On-screen result: group titles disappear and tasks return to the default arrangement.
  • What you can do next: you can add another grouping condition or continue reviewing the Gantt chart.

Tips While Using

  • Common mistake: deleting a grouping condition does not delete task data.
