What is the difference between a custom role and a system role?

  1. A system role is a preset permission template for quick assignment.

Do permission changes take effect immediately after I save them?

  1. Adjust the role permissions you need.
  2. Click Save.
  3. After saving, the updated permissions take effect immediately. If needed, use Undo Changes before saving to discard the current edits.

Why can't I see the Add Custom Role entry?

  1. Confirm that you opened the target database and entered the Advanced Permissions panel.
  2. Check whether your account has permission to manage advanced permissions.
  3. If the entry is still unavailable, ask the database administrator to confirm your management scope.
