How-to Guide
1. Select the Modify Records action
Entry path: Select the action to perform panel → Multidimensional Table category → Modify Records
- In Step 2 of the automation editor, open the Select the action to perform panel.
- Under the Multidimensional Table category, click Modify Records.
- Check whether the Configure Parameters area appears on the right.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: The Configure Parameters section appears on the right side.
- Next step available: You can continue to choose a data table, record scope, and field values.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If you do not select Modify Records first, the related parameter panel will not appear.
2. Configure the data table and field values
Entry path: Configure Parameters panel → Select the data table where the records to be modified are located
- In the Configure Parameters panel, open Select the data table where the records to be modified are located and choose the target table.
- Open Record scope to modify and choose the records you want to update, such as all records.
- In Set field values, click + Add field value to add the field you want to update.
- Click the + button next to the field value input box and choose a dynamic value if needed, such as current time, trigger user, or the record triggered in Step 1.
- After setting at least one field value, click Save and enable to finish the configuration.
Success Criteria
- Interface result: A target table, record scope, and at least one field value are all set.
- Next step available: The configuration can be saved and enabled for later record updates in the flow.
Tips While Using
- Common mistake: If no field value is added, the configuration cannot be saved.
- Environment note: You need edit permission for the target data table and related fields.
