How-to Guide
1. Add Underline
Entry point: Home tab → Underline button
- Select the cell or the text inside the cell that you want to underline.
- Click the Home tab.
- Click the Underline button.
- The selected text will show an underline below it.

2. Remove Underline
Entry point: Home tab → Underline button
- Select the cell or the text inside the cell that already has an underline.
- Click the Underline button again.
- The underline will be removed.
Success Criteria
- UI state: The previous underline is no longer displayed.
- Next actions: You can apply other font styles or add underline again.
Tips While Using
- Common mistakes: If the selection is incomplete, only part of the text may lose the underline.
3. Customize Underline Style
Entry point: Right-click → Format Cells → Font
- Select the target cell range and right-click to open the menu.
- Select Format Cells to open the panel on the right.
- Go to the text-related settings area and find the Underline menu.
- Choose the style you want, such as single underline or double underline.
- If you want to clear the underline, choose None and confirm the change.
