Why do I not see any change after I click Underline?

  1. Confirm that the target text is selected.
  2. Check whether the document is editable instead of read-only or protected.
  3. Click the Underline button on the Home tab again and see whether a line appears below the text.
  4. If it still does not work, reselect the text and try again.

Can I use a keyboard shortcut to underline text on Mac?

  1. Select the text that you want to format.
  2. Press Command + U.

  4. To remove it, press the same shortcut again or click the Underline button.

How do I change the style of text that is already underlined?
