1. Add an Underline

Entry path: Home tab → Underline button

  1. Select the text that you want to underline.
  2. Click the Home tab.
  3. Click the Underline button.
  4. Check whether an underline appears below the selected text.

2. Add an Underline Through Text Properties

Entry path: Home tab → Text Properties drop-down menu → Text Properties → Text tab → Underline button

  2. Click the Home tab.
  3. Open the Text Properties drop-down menu and select Text Properties.
  4. In the right task pane, switch to the Text tab.
  5. Click the Underline button to apply the setting.
